BEAUTY AND THE BESTIE vs. MY BEBE LOVE : WHICH ENTRIES IS NUMBER 1 IN MMFF 2015?

 

December 25, 2015 is the most awaited day for the movie and showbiz industry, not only because it is Christmas, but also  it is the first day of showing of all the MMFF entries in cinema nationwide.

There are eight entries joined the film festival those are “ALL YOU NEED IS PAG-IBIG”, “BUY NOW, DIE LATER”, “HAUNTED MANSION”, “HONOR THY FATHER”, “NILALANG”, “#WALANG FOREVER”, ” MY BEBE LOVE #KILIG PA MORE” AND “BEAUTY AND THE BESTIE”.

During the festival there are many controversies had come out, the ticket swapping, honor thy father disqualification, and many more. But the most trending controversy is between the two entries “My Bebe Love” and ‘’Beauty and the Bestie’’ which they both claiming the number one spot on highest grossing movie in the festival. On January 8, 2016 the MMFF announced the top four of the entries which have the highest income in no particular order they are “Beauty and the Bestie of Vice Ganda, Coco Martin and the love team Jadine which is directed by Wenn Deramas” , “My Bebe Love #kilig pamore of Vic Sotto, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and the love team Aldub which is directed by Jose Javier Reyes”, “Haunted Mansion of Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel and Jerome Ponce which is directed by Jun Lana, and #Walang Forever of Jennylyn Mercado and Jericho Rosales which is directed by Dan Villegas . But the question still not yet answered. Which entry made on the top?

As of January 15, 2016 the Star Cinema announced that their entry Beauty and the Bestie total gross income reach P492 million, they also said that this movie is the newest highest Filipino movie of all time after its exceed the gross of Second chance in domestic income. While the GMA films is still in silent about the updated gross income of My bebe Love #kilig pamore,  but they announced last January 3, 2016 that their entry reach P322 million.
